Mission

The Council is a membership organization dedicated to maximizing urban water conservation throughout California by supporting and integrating innovative technologies and practices; encouraging effective public policies; advancing research, training, and public education; and building on collaborative approaches and partnerships.

How to join the Council:

Complete the forms in the membership packet. Be sure to list the BMP Reporting contact on the Signatory Information page. If you have any questions, please email us at membership@cuwcc.org.  Once the forms are completed,email to membership@cuwcc.org, fax to 916-552-5877, or mail to: CUWCC 716 10th Street, Suite 200, Sacramento, CA 95814. The Membership Committee reviews all applicants on a quarterly basis, before each Plenary Meeting. Plenary Meetings are held in March, June, September, and December. If your application is approved by the Membership Committee, you will be formally invited to the next Plenary Meeting as a provisional member. Once your application is approved at the Plenary Meeting, you will become a full member, be invoiced for the annual dues and will receive a formal acceptance letter.

Who are our Members:

Who are the Council’s members? The Council's membership consists of three groups:
  • Group 1 is made up of urban water suppliers who are entities, including cities that deliver or supply water for urban use at the wholesale or retail level.
  • Group 2 consists of public advocacy organizations who are non-profit organizations whose prime mission is the protection of the environment, or who have a clear interest in advancing the BMP process.
  • Group 3 members are other interested parties that do not fall into either Group 1 or Group 2.
